UM’s Massie moved to right tackle

OXFORD — If the Ole Miss football team needs help at left tackle this fall, it doesn’t appear that prized freshman signee Bobby Massie will be able to provide it.
Massie, at 6-foot-7 and 345 pounds, has the ideal size to play left tackle, which is an especially important position because it’s crucial in protecting quarterback Jevan Snead’s blind side when he throws.
But Massie has struggled with the transition to the college game, leading UM offensive line coach Mike Markuson to move the freshman to right tackle, which is where Massie played during his year of prep school at Hargrave Military Academy.
“He’s an athletic guy,” Markuson said. “But the speed of the game is getting to him a little and he’s swimming with all the stuff we’ve given him. He’s a guy we think can help us this year, but we don’t know when. It might be game four or game five.
“At some point the light is going to come on and stay on. But right now, it’s just flickering.”
With Massie out of the picture at left tackle, the job belongs to Bradley Sowell. The 6-foot-7, 310-pound redshirt sophomore was the backup at left tackle last season. UM coaches have said Sowell has improved enough to warrant a starting spot.
As for Massie, he’s on the second team behind All-Southeastern Conference selection John Jerry at right tackle. Markuson said the coaching staff would consider moving Massie back to left tackle next spring.

maybe someone who is closer to the football team or Oxford can answer this one for me.
What does this say for our OL depth is this a good move or bad? I know in the past O Lineman have moved like Oher & Metcalf
