the worst rain storm I belive I've ever sat in during a game was back around 1996 game vs bama in oxford. heavy rain during the game tornado warnings all around oxford that morning. we got beat of course but I still remember John Avery running a kickoff back then diving into the north endzone which drew a flag

The 1977 USM game in Oxford--one week after the Notre Dame game. It was so bad, the band never took the field for either pregame or halftime. You could literally sit anywhere in the stadium. We lost the game.

It wasn't a storm, but the '98 game in Fayetteville (the game when Tubs "quit" coaching) was the most miserable game I ever sat through. It drizzled rain for the entire game with an occasional downpour. My rain suit leaked and I was cold and wet from kick-off to the final horn. Ended up with the worst sore throat and cold I ever had in my life......not to mention that we got the crap whipped out of us that day as well!

The 2000 and 2003 Egg Bowls were both pretty miserable.
