Obviously, the only position holding us back is that left side of the line. My question is: when and how do we fix it? Are we just going to risk it and try to get by with weak line play or will we let people have a shot to step up and win the position? Sowell is awful. I'm sorry, but he is flat out laughable. I've never seen a LT get beat every time without laying a hand on the DE. I will give Sowell credit for having heart. There was one play against Vandy where he was blocking a guy behind Jevan and as soon as Jevan threw it to McCluster, he sprinted down field, caught up to McCluster and attempted to help Dex. I was impressed by how fast he got down field, but the fact is Bama and LSU will eat us alive if we can't improve that left side. Why not switch Jerry and Sowell? I know Jerry isn't the prototypical LT, but wouldn't you have more confidence in an All-American RT than a TE turned into a LT?

I don't understand why we don't have a few more roll out passes to the right side since our left side is more vulnerable to the pass rush. I don't recall seeing any of those. Wouldn't that take a little bit of the pressure off of Snead? I realize that we can't do it on every pass play but it seems to me that it would mix things up a bit and keep the defense honest.
