family friends took me to a game in oxford Ole Miss lost to Georgia that fine october day in 1987,but that is when I became a rebel fan.

back in the 50's ole miss was the only team around the north miss. area that had a descent team and so being a miss. boy i just naturally became a fan. have been watching them ever since. man have i had my share of dissappointments. but i have also had a lot of fun. i expect the fun to get better and better as long as coach nutt stays around. am really looking forward to this season.

I grew up in the Delta listening to Rebel football. Connerly, Eagle Day, Crespino, etc. A trip to the University at age 13 sealed the deal. Never really thought about any other school but Ole Miss. First Oxford, then UMC. My two sons were the 3rd generation Rebels. Married an MSU girl from Yazoo, but she`s pretty much a convert now.
